24 hour "British Culture" brief

I was given a brief on "British Culture to complete in 24 hours. 

My first thoughts on this were to stay away from the already over done London look for this project so I decided to concentrate my thoughts on the Great British Country side.

My initial ideas page looks something like this:

After deciding to go down the british country side path, these were my next ideas down on paper:

From here I decided to go ahead with the welly boot idea which originated from the idea of british weather, muddy fields & appropriate foot wear!

I decided to do a potato print of the union jack as a background idea for the wellie picture:

I then thought of the idea of an actual foot print in the mud so I painted up the bottom of my shoes & took some prints from them:

 My initial ideas never actually came to a full blown finished piece unfortunately. I ran out of time in the designated 24 hours.
